B.B.N.P. throughout history
The dynamic 20th century substantially affected brewing in České Budějovice. The B.B.N.P. brewery coped successfully with two world wars as well as with 40 years of socialism. By the end of the millennium, output had tripled and B.B.N.P. had been transformed into one of the most modern breweries in Europe. At the same time, the brewing procedures, traditional raw materials, quality and taste of beer remains the same.
Trademark disputes
Trademark disputes between B.B.N.P. and the American giant Anheuser-Busch have been going on for nearly a century. In many ways they resemble David’s fight against Goliath. However, the originality of the beer is unquestionable and thus, the majority of litigations has been won by B.B.N.P.
Association inn
It is 1914 and České Budějovice is hosting the “Meeting of Associations” (Maticni slavnost), a big day for local Czech organisations, however this is disrupted by violence. Archduke Ferdinand d’Este, the successor to the Austro-Hungarian throne, has been assassinated. Take a look into the inn and witness the dramatic events!
The passage of time
Drift through the 20th century as presented briefly on three large plasma screens and watch a combination of world history versus Czech history and the history of the B.B.N.P. brewery.
